Please help us running FreeBSD on EC2

I’m registering a new blog here so we can build a community around people who are willing to take a little bit of their time to help making FreeBSD work on EC2.

I’m making a list here of all efforts I’m aware of (please contact me if you know more about this) to run FreeBSD or any other BSD system under EC2. We’re close, but we’re not there yet… Also I’ll give access to post to this blog to anyone who can help us doing this.

What do we have so far :

– 2 public images of NetBSD registered as public images on EC2 (fbsdtest/netbsd-image-5.0.2-amd64.manifest.xml AND fbsdtest/netbsd-image-5.0.2-i386.manifest.xml)

– One article mentionning a failed attempt running FreeBSD http://www.ioncannon.net/system-administration/1205/installing-cent-os-5-5-on-ec2-with-the-cent-os-5-5-kernel/

– A few list post detailing steps to take to run FreeBSD on EC2 : http://www.mail-archive.com/freebsd-xen@freebsd.org/msg00486.html ;
